We are a well established small family NHS dental practice located in Headingley Leeds. The practice is owned and run by the principal dentist and we have a loyal patient base who are dentally motivated. We also provide cosmetic procedures including whitening and clear aligner orthodontics for those patient that would like to have work done that is outside the scope of the NHS.
We are looking for an part time dental nurse & receptionist to join the practice and help provide high quality care to our patients. Consideration will be given for a full time position for the right candidate.
DETAILS OF DENTAL NURSE POSITION
Ideally looking for 3 1/2 to 4 days but would consider less . Extra hours available to cover sickness/staff holidays
Position will involve working in surgery and also occasionally on reception when required
The successful candidate will have excellent communications skills, well presented, reliable and organised. They must be able to work as part of a team and be hard working.
Duties: Assist dentist/therapist chairside
Carry out decontamination procedures
Keeping clinical areas clean
Processing digital radiographs
Maintain clinical records as directed
Complete lab request forms & keep records of work sent, received and fitted
Maintenance of stock levels within the surgery
Ensure the care and welfare of the patients
Comply with all health and safety rules and guidance
Experience -1 year preferred but would also consider a newly qualified
Requirements – must be registered with the GDC , clean DBS and able to work in UK

DETAILS OF DENTAL RECEPTIONIST POSITION
The successful candidate will have excellent communications skills, well presented, reliable and organised. They must be able to work as part of a team and be hard working. The ideal candidate will have experience as a dental or medical receptionist.
DUTIES
Ensure the reception desk is organised in an efficient manner and patients are looked after during their visit to the practice.
Answer the telephone in a prescribed manner
Welcome all patients arriving at the practice and deal with any deliveries
Be responsible for booking appointments and using a short cancellation list to fill the book where there have been late cancellations
Collect and record patient patients using dental software and cash up at the end of the day
Update confidential medical information
Complete relevant forms for NHS and private schemes
Liase with dental laboratories, supply companies and other organisation as required
Send out patient recalls
Compile day sheets
Keep the reception area tidy
File away archive records
Other duties as necessary for the efficient operation the practice, including shopping locally for sundry items
Undergo training as may be required to develop skills and abilities
Attend refresher and update training for medical emergencies and CPR
Requirements
The successful candidate must be friendly , polite and smartly presented
Have exceptional computer skills and be able to learn quickly how to use specific software
Clean DBS
UK citizen with the right to work in UK
