Our Goal.
We know that private is the future for dentistry and it is hard for newly qualified dentists to gain experience during their foundation programme in this area. We feel that it is important to provide future dentists with this experience and support so that we can help to prepare and support them to a successful career in private dentistry.
The Pathway is intended for those dentists that are either coming up to or completing their Foundation Dentist programme and are looking for a way to break into the world of private dentistry. The Pathway to Private programme provides a safe and nurturing environment for dentists to develop the essential skills to be successful in private practice.
Simply put, we want to invest in future dentists and provide a great environment for you to excel.

As a dentist on the Pathway, you will be paid a salary with benefits such as GDC and Indemnity insurance fees paid, pensions contributions, a generous car allowance, and of course annual leave entitlement.
The programme itself will consist of mentoring by an experienced clinician within a Dentex practice, along with shadowing, training courses and a vast support network. At the end of the 12 month programme we hope that you will want to continue on your journey with Dentex. With more than 150 practices (and still growing) across the UK, this gives you a lot of options. Maybe you even want to stay right where you are…great!
Ultimately, the main goal is for you to finish the 12 month pathway with a strong set of skills and experience to begin the next phase of your career in dentistry.
