About our practice
Holsworthy Dental Centre was established in 1974 and has a long standing reputation for providing the full range of dental care for a vast community. The Holsworthy Dental Centre occupies ‘Penroses’ which sits in a prominent position in the town in one of the most attractive, and historic buildings in Holsworthy.
The practice is fully digital and fully computerised. We have a state of the art digital OPG machine which produces 300 multi layer images per second during a single panoramic exposure by means of a retro emitted electron beam created by X ray bombardment of cadmium telluride screens. The technology was developed at the European Atomic Physics Facility at Cerne in Switzerland and this practice was the first dental practice in the UK to install an OPG machine using this technology. Other local practices refer their patients to us to benefit from this imaging facility.
